Skinny VS Healthy - Healthy Wins!

🗝 It is super important to remember in your workout goals that the key is not to be skinny, the key is to be HEALTHY at whatever size you happen to be. This means eating good food, having regular exercise each day, drinking lots of water and getting plenty of rest. It is really this simple.

🌱You know, exercise can literally exist in working in your garden. You don't have to start any big exercise regimens or join a gym. There are tons of ways to exercise and have it be fun as well! Gardening, riding your bike, pickleball, walking, mowing the lawn, remodeling projects, moving things around, even sewing burns calories LOL.
Being thin usually means not having much muscle, which can have a huge impact on the function of your metabolism. Since muscle is more metabolically active than fat, your body may struggle to utilize food effectively throughout the day. This can cause a variety of things including weird bloating. I have a tendency to forget to eat, so this happens to me sometimes when I'm not careful about my eating.
Also, underfeeding yourself in order to stay thin is never a good idea. Not only does this starve your body of essential vitamins and nutrients, but you can damage your immune system, weaken your body, and prevent yourself from operating at full capacity. Your body needs to be nourished every day by good foods. I do take supplements but I also pay attention to the vitamins that I am putting in my body through my food and drinks. I like to say that "Food is Fuel but it can also be Fun!" 🥗🍜 🍷
What does this mean? Being skinny does not make you healthy, and losing weight doesn’t guarantee better metabolic health. The only solution is to put your health first. You will trim up, gain more strength, have much more confidence and be able to sleep better which are such wonderful little side effects to taking care of yourself!
Remember, If you stop moving, you will stop moving! Let's feel better!! 💃🤸‍♀️🧘‍♀️
